Capabilities

What We Do

Five connected capabilities — from city strategy and spatial design to cultural renewal, prefabricated buildings and China-side sourcing.

01

Urban Design & Masterplan

We work at the scale of the territory and the city — strategic positioning, destination masterplans, district frameworks and land-use planning that carry a project from top-level structure to implementable form. Our planning work spans alpine rail corridors, lakefront districts, heritage towns and rural valleys.

Key Services

  • Strategic Planning & Positioning
  • Destination Masterplans
  • Concept Urban Design
  • Industry & Land-Use Programming
  • TOD & Infrastructure-Led Development
02

Architecture & Interior

We design buildings and interiors as one continuous experience — structure, envelope, circulation, material, atmosphere and use developed together. The work ranges from cultural pavilions and visitor centres to hotels, workplaces and the adaptive interior of existing buildings.

Key Services

  • Concept & Schematic Architecture
  • Interior Planning & Design
  • Material, Finish & Colour Direction
  • Design Development Coordination
  • Hospitality, Cultural & Workplace Environments
03

Cultural Tourism & Urban Renewal

We create cultural-tourism destinations and renew existing neighbourhoods through the same careful reading of place. Heritage, landscape, hospitality, public life and viable long-term operation are brought into one development framework.

Key Services

  • Destination Strategy & Cultural Content
  • Heritage & Rural Revitalization
  • Adaptive Reuse
  • Visitor Experience & Hospitality Planning
  • Community, Street & Public-Space Renewal
04

Prefabricated Buildings

A design-led route from accommodation brief to a coordinated prefabricated building. UNO can help select and adapt tent, bamboo, timber, tree-house, container and panoramic-room systems for resorts and cultural-tourism destinations, then coordinate the chosen direction with the manufacturer.

Key Services

  • Site & Hospitality Brief
  • Building-Series Shortlisting
  • Unit Mix & Cluster Planning
  • Architectural & Interior Adaptation
  • Manufacturer Drawing Coordination
  • Production, Logistics & Site Handover Planning

China Material & FF&E Sourcing

We translate drawings, specifications and design intent into a controlled China sourcing process. UNO can research and screen suppliers, prepare comparable RFQs, coordinate samples, clarify technical questions in English and Chinese, track production and support inspection, consolidation and logistics handover — with decisions and open risks kept visible to the client.

Key Services

  • Drawing, BOQ & Specification Review
  • Supplier Research & Background Checks
  • Material, Finish & FF&E Shortlists
  • RFQ & Like-for-Like Quote Comparison
  • Sample, Production & Inspection Coordination
  • Consolidation, Export Document & Logistics Handover

Sourcing controls

Trust comes from visible checks, not broad promises.

01

Brief & compliance

Drawings, quantities, performance requirements, destination standards and target dates are confirmed before supplier outreach.

02

Supplier identity

The proposed company, supplier type, manufacturing role, export capability and commercial documents are recorded for review.

03

Sample & specification

Dimensions, materials, finish, approved sample and drawing references establish what the supplier is expected to produce.

04

Comparable quotation

MOQ, price basis, lead time, terms, warranty, exclusions and logistics assumptions are placed on one comparison structure.

05

Production & inspection

Milestones, open issues and inspection evidence are tracked before the balance-payment or shipping decision.

06

Handover & claims record

Packing, supplier contacts, shipment documents, approvals and issue evidence are organised for logistics and after-sales follow-up.

Sourcing Q&A

Questions to resolve before ordering.

Answers describe UNO's working approach. Product warranties, import compliance and final commercial terms remain subject to the agreed suppliers, contracts and destination requirements.

01What materials and FF&E can UNO help source?

Typical categories include tiles and stone, sanitary ware, lighting, doors and windows, cabinetry and joinery, furniture, fabrics, decorative items and other project-specific finishes. The final product list is confirmed against the drawings, specification, quantity and destination market.

02What information should I provide to start?

Send the latest drawings, BOQ or product list, reference images, required dimensions and finishes, quantities, target budget, delivery destination and required-on-site date. For commercial projects, include any mandatory fire, electrical, environmental or accessibility certifications required in the destination country.

03How are quotations made comparable?

We issue a consistent RFQ and compare the same specification, finish, quantity and commercial basis. The comparison can show unit price, MOQ, samples, tooling, lead time, Incoterm, payment terms, warranty, exclusions and missing information — so the lowest headline price is not mistaken for the lowest total risk.

04Do I have to visit China?

No. Supplier research, video calls, sample coordination, drawing clarification and progress reporting can be managed remotely. If an in-person market, showroom or factory visit is useful, the itinerary and objectives can be planned as a separate scope.

05Do you always recommend a factory rather than a trading company?

Not automatically. The right route depends on quantity, MOQ, customisation, product category, export capability and service needs. We identify the proposed supplier type and explain the trade-off before a recommendation is made.

06How do you reduce quality risk?

Risk controls can include specification confirmation, supplier checks, physical samples, finish approval, shop-drawing review, production photos and a pre-shipment inspection or independent third-party inspection. The agreed inspection scope is stated in advance; inspection reduces risk but does not replace product warranties or contractual remedies.

07How should payments be handled safely?

The supplier name, contract, proforma invoice and beneficiary account should match before payment. Deposits, balance timing and inspection conditions should be written into the purchase terms, and payment should never be made to an unverified personal account. UNO records commercial clarifications, while the client retains final supplier and payment approval.

08Can you coordinate products from several suppliers?

Yes, when included in scope. We can maintain a consolidated tracker for samples, approvals, production status, packing information and collection dates, then coordinate handover to an agreed warehouse or freight partner. Freight, insurance, duties and destination customs clearance are quoted or handled separately by the relevant logistics and customs parties.

09What happens if goods arrive damaged or do not match the approval?

The first step is to preserve photos, packing evidence, labels and delivery records. We can help identify whether the issue relates to production, packing, transport or unloading, communicate with the supplier and support a warranty, replacement or insurance claim. The remedy ultimately follows the purchase contract, approved sample, Incoterm and insurance cover.

10How are sourcing fees structured?

The fee and responsibility matrix are agreed before work starts. Depending on the assignment, the scope may be a fixed research or comparison package, milestone-based coordination, or an ongoing procurement-management service. Supplier prices, third-party inspection, samples, freight, duties and travel are identified separately where applicable.
