The Exploration Centre is conceived as a piece of parkland rather than a pavilion in a park. A circular green roof rises gently from the meadow, wrapping a water court that forms the heart of the children’s discovery route; sports fields, play mounds and canopy structures extend the programme into the landscape.
Inside the ring, exhibition, workshop and performance spaces open directly to the courtyard, so that indoor discovery and outdoor play are one continuous journey. Under construction for Chengdu Tianfu Rongchuang Cultural Tourism.
